How I’ve Changed!
My life has changed a lot in the last few years. In the past, I used to have much time to play with my classmates after school. When I finished my homework, I often watched TV or chatted with my parents in the evening. And I used to hang out with my friends on weekends.
But now I’m very busy every day. I have to get up early and stay in school all day because I have to study hard. I don’t have any more time to do what I love to do. I usually go to bed late every night. I miss the old days very much.
I used to be short. And I used to be shy and quiet. I didn’t use to eat a lot of vegetables and used to listen to pop music. But now, I am taller than before. I’m more outgoing and I like to eat tomatoes and potatoes.
The useful invention—mobile phone
Being a product of high-technology, mobile phones are being more and more widely used. It’s small in size, light in weight and easy to carry, offering fast and convenient service for communication. It ’s of multi-function. The users use it for calling, sending short messages and Internet-surfing.
In recent years, mobile phones have become popular among middle school students. Quite a few use them at school to keep in touch with their families and friends instead of writing letters, which, of course, brings convenience to them. But I don’t think it’s good to do so. In spite of the advantage mentioned above, student users often waste a lot of time chatting over the phone in their spare time, some even use them to cheat in exams. In addition, mobile phone bill is also a heavy burden on student’s families.
I think sky lantern is a special traditional art. We should try our best to protect them. We can try to make sky lanterns instead of playing computer all day.
It ’s like a star and is colorful. I’m always happy when I see my kite flying in the sky like a beautiful twinkle star.
It ’s exciting for me to watch all the colorful kites flying in the sky.
This traditional art is getting less in the modern life. I remember my last saw it in our home when I was a four-year-old girl. I looked at the paper cuttings were put on the doors. Because they ’re red, I like them very much.
In this modern life, we should care for Chinese traditional forms and do something to save our traditional
forms.
I ’m interested in sky lanterns because its long history. And it shows the different forms of Chinese art and culture.
Everything in China shows a meaning, so we should learn more about them.
I like the sky lanterns because they are very easy to carry so I can light them everywhere I go. I like lighting them with my parents. When the lanterns rise into the air, they make the sky very bright and beautiful, just like the stars. They carry our wishes to people we miss. Watching them rising into the air is a warm thing!
I have a sky lantern. My father bought me as a gift. It shows that the love between my father and I. It ’s a symbol of love and beauty. Wherever I go, I ’ll take it because it makes me think of my father. I ’m not afraid of anything because my lantern is always there just like my father is always there.
Sky lanterns get my attention not only because they look beautiful with all those painting on them, but also because when hundreds of sky lanterns rise together, the sky will be filled with shining bright lanterns which are like stars. It ’s really exciting to see a sky full of sky lanterns, the lanterns show the love that all Chinese people have for life and beauty.
