Traveling by train is usually not easy in China. It can be difficult to get a ticket. When you’re traveling to the railway station, you look at your watch, afraid you will miss your train. But there is good news for people traveling between Beijing and Shanghai. Construction (建设) on the express railway (高速铁路) between the two cities started just before the Spring Festival of 2008. A father sat at his desk looking through his monthly bills(账单) when his young son

In the past twenty years, riding bicycles has become more and more popular among people

of all ages. Bicycles have long played an important part in the lives of American young people. But today an even greater number of adults cycle along roadsides and bicycle paths. These new riders are often trying to become fit or lose weight. They have found that bicycling is a pleasant way to stay healthy.

This is certainly good for health. But it has also brought some problems. With all these
