I had a wonderful time. I used to be interested in Beijing and I often dreamed of visiting Beijing some day. Last weekend my dream came true. My parents took me to Beijing for a one-day trip. In the morning, we visited the Palace Museum. I was surpried at the great buildings because I had never seen such a great museum and it reminded me of the soap opera Huan Zhu Ge Ge. At noon we had lunch at Quanjude, the famous restaurant in Beijing. And of course we ate Peking Duck. It was great, too. In the afternoon, we visited the Summer Palace and then went shopping. I found that Beijing was quite an expensive city. But the clothes and the food were wonderful. In the evening, we went to Chaoyang Music Hall to watch Peking Opera. My father fell in love with it. Although I had to be honest to say that I don’t like Peking Opera, it was a wonderful trip. I think I will never forget the day when I visited Beijing. I love Beijing, the capital of China.

Making word lists is a popuar and helpful way to remember new words. 2. To learn new words through the ears You can find radio grograms or TV grograms, and listen to them carefully. As you listen to more conversations, you will learn their pronunciation more easily. 3. Say it as soon as you see it. 材料二: I think it’s important to protect tigers. I’ve just read a report in a newspaper about saving tigers. It says that the number of tigers is getting smaller and smaller. I think there are two main reasons for this. One is that some people kill tigers to make money. For example, last Monday I saw a few people selling fur of tigers on the street. It’s terrible. The other reason is that too many trees have been cut down, which has destroyed the places where tigers are used to living. Tigers are endangered. We should work together to build a pleasant home for both human beings and animals.
材料三: Now let’s talk about the secrets of learning a foreign language. I think the most important thing is that you really want to learn the language. Without that, you won’t learn it well. Then you need to believe that you can learn it well. Next, of course, you need to study hard. Remember not to give up when you feel that you are not feeling much progress. You can’t expect to know or understand everything in a few weeks because learning a language takes time. Finally you should try to develop an ear for the language. That is to say you must understand what people are saying. You should tey to learn words and expressions by listening and using them.
