英语常用副词话区别
1、too 与either
too, 也,一般用在肯定句中,也可以用在疑问句中;either, “也”,用在否定句中。例如:
I’m in Class Two, too. 我也在二班。
We aren’t workers, either. 我们也不是工人。
2、already, yet 与still
already, 说明某动作已经完成,“已经,早已”,多用于肯定句中,位置在句中或末尾。用在疑问句中表示惊奇,或者希望得到肯定的答复。
yet, 说明某种情况直到现在或某一特定时间为止,“已经,还”。通常用于否定句或疑问句中,位置常在句子末尾。
still, 说明某种情况和过去一样在继续着,“仍然,仍旧”,可用于陈述句和疑问句中。位置通常在句中。例如:
Lin Tao has already cleaned the blackboard. 林涛已经擦了黑板。
I haven’t bought a dictionary yet. 我还没买字典。
Have you returned that book yet? 你已经还了那本书吗?
I still can’t swim. 我仍然不会游泳。
Have they still stayed there? 他们仍呆在那儿吗?
3、ago 与before
都表示“……以前”:ago表示从现在算起往前推的多少时间以前;而before则表示从过去或者将来某时起往起往前推的多少时间以前。例如:
He went to the office half an hour ago. 她半小时前去了办公室。
He said he had gone to the office half an hour before.
他说半小时以前去了办公室。
4、very, quite, much 与very much
这四个词都有“很,十分”的意思:very 一般修饰形容词、副词的原级;quite修饰动词、形容词、副词、介词短语等;much多修饰比较级、动作意义强的过去分词,还可修饰动词,而very 则不能。Very much 多用来修饰动词。例如:
He writes very well. 他写得很好。
She quite likes going swimming. 她十分喜欢去游泳。
China is becoming much more beautiful. 中国变得美丽多了。
He is much surprised by the news. 这个消息使他大吃一惊。
Did you read much last month? 上个月你读了很多书吗?

5、ever 与once
Ever “曾经”,多用于否定句、疑问句、条件从句和比较从句中,常与完成时和一般过去时连用;而once 意思是“曾经,从前,一次”,多用于肯定句,常与一般过去时连用。例如:
Nothing ever happened in his school. 他学校里未发生过什么事。
Have you ever been to the USA? 你曾经去过美国吗?
This is the most interesting book I have ever read.
这是我看过的最有趣的一本书。
Tom works much harder than ever. 汤姆干得比往常都卖力。
There was once a king long, long ago. 很久很久以前有一位国王。
He has been there once. 他去过那儿一次。
6、hard 与hardly
两词意思不同:hard 意思是“努力地,猛烈地”;而hardly 意
思是“几乎不,简直不”,是否定词,只能用作副词,常用来修饰表示能力的动词。例如:
He studies hard. 他学习很努力。
The wind blew hard. 风猛烈地吹着。
I can hardly know how to answer the question.
我简直不知道如何回答这个问题。
7、most 与mostly
Most 意思是“最,非常”;而mostly 意思是“大部分,大多数地”。例如:
Living in the country is the most interesting. 住在乡村最有趣。
They are mostly friends of mine. 他们大部分是我的朋友。
8、everyday 与every day
everyday 只作形容词,意为“日常的,每日的”,在句中用作定语;而every day 是名词性短语,意为“每天”,多用作状语。例如:

10、maybe 与may be
maybe “可能,或许”,在句中作状语,常位于句首;may be是情态动词may +连系动词be ,“可能是”,用作谓语。例如:
Maybe you left your pen in your room.
你可能把钢笔忘在房间里了。
He may be in the house. = Maybe he is in the office.
他可能在办公室里。
