My Favorite Place
One of my favorite places is a small path hugging the Triangle River for a short a distance and leading to the first school cafeteria. About three meters in wide, the road is paved with alternate red and green bricks.
In summer, the road is flanked by verdant willows and the lake abounds with lovely red lotuses. Imagine you are wandering on this road in a clear morning, with willows brushing your cheek and a fresh breeze puffing across the lake where lotus are swaying in the breeze, how wonderful will that be! All worries and troubles will slip your mind, as waves of coolness sweep over you. If you are lucky enough, you may happen to hear cicadas’ riveting songs. This picturesque scenery often captures quite a few passers-by who slow down and take a nice picture of it or have others take a photo of them against the appealing and lovely backdrop.
When autumn approaches, all living things around the path come to a composed quietness. The trees wither, lotuses shed blossoms and the lake becomes turbid. Such quietness affords you solitary peacefulness. In this context, you tend to be easily lost in deep reverie. However, a piercing wind may draws you back to the reality, just like a waking-up from a nice dream.
If you come to experience all around the path, it is inevitable that one of Tagore’s famous remarks will flash through your mind: “Let life be beautiful like summer flowers and death like autumn leaves”.
Are you still seeking for a place to get relaxed? Come to this little nice path! You also can take a host of pictures against the attractive environment of the road.
Are you in need of a place to get a little privacy? Do not skip this one! It is definitely your top priority.
