Oh, the things that I should see if I had the power of sight for just three days!

I had just put on my suit, shorts, and tank top, and packed my bag with sunscreen and everything else I would need for the day． I ran into my parents' room to find Dad． When I saw him on the phone, he was crying． I'd never seen my dad cry before． My heart sank． What possibly could have happened?

Oh, the things that I should see if I had the power of sight for just three days!
The first day would be a busy one. I should call to all my dear friends and look long into their faces, imprinting(刻上) upon my mind the outward evidences of the beauty that is within them. In the afternoon of that first seeing day, I should take a long walk in the woods and intoxicate (使陶醉) my eyes on the beauties of the world of Nature trying desperately to absorb in a few hours the vast brilliance which is presenting itself to those who can see. On the way home from
