Stop doing sth.”停止做某事”，是指停下正在做的事情。
【考查点】辨析stop...from doing sth, stop doing sth.与stop to do sth.
1) stop...from doing sth.“阻止...... 做某事”，与prevent/keep...from doing sth.同义。例如： She stopped the child from watching TV. 她不准孩子看电视。
2)Stop doing sth.“停止做某事”，是指停下来正在做的事情。例如：
Stop doing that stupid thing!

Whatever 连词，“无论什么”，引导让步状语从句，等于no matter what引导的状语从句。例如：

【拓展】1）wherever ，连词，“无论在哪里”，等于no matter where引导的状语从句。例如： Wherever he may be, he will be happy.他无论在什么地方，都很快乐。
2）wherever 除作连词外，还可用作副词，意为“究竟在哪里，在任何地方，到任何地方”。例如：
Wherever did you see such a thing?你究竟在哪里看到过这种东西？

Hero 名词，“英雄”。其复数形式是heroes ，在词尾加-es 。
【拓展】以o 结尾的名词，其复数形式有时加“-es”,有时加“-s”
加-es 的可串成为：黑人（negro ）英雄（hero ）爱吃西红柿“tomato”和土豆“potato”。
加-s 的可串成为：我听广播（radio ）, 也哎看电视录像（video ）, 说动物园（zoo ）里的袋鼠（kangaroo ）弹着钢琴（piano ）招揽游客来照相（photo ）。
