In me the tiger sniffs the rose
In Will hunting the tiger sniffs the rose.I think Siegfried Sasson will go along with me. You may ask who’s Will hunting?
A deviant who handles with difficult unsolved maths problems? An orphan who gets the favor of the rich Harvard girl? Many kinds of contractions can be seen on him.
In ,the main character Will hunting looks strong like a tiger, but he has a feeling of inferiority like a rose actually.Luckily,he meets a girl Skylar who appreciates the rose, teachers Lambean and Sean who water the rose, friends who accompany the rose. They just embrace,no matter Will’s rose thorns will hurt them.
What impresses me most is that Will abandons his “perfect ” girl when she says that she loves him very much. His thought is so simple:abandon others before their abandoning himself.Being abandoned by his parents and being abused by his adoptive father,he dare love .He fears loving and his imperfect letting the perfect girl go. He loves the sun,but he doesn’t know how to face his shadow.
“This is not your fault!”appears eight times in this film. Will reacts differently to this sentence. At the start,he doesn’t take it seriously, just said”I know.”Then,he became angry and shout
madly. Finally,he cried so sadly like a kid.I think Will makes up his mind to save himself not destroy himself.Nobody tells him until Sean hugs and say that sincerely.Or maybe the former doctors said something like that, but they just use it as a strategy to cure a patient not regard Will as a friend. From Will’s experience,I suddenly think back to the children who were abused, facing the microphone and holding the money. They feel helpless and awkward.Maybe they just need a sentence “It ’s not your fault” , a warm hug and a beautiful smile, not the money.
Will finally give up the good job to look for his “perfect ” in the car made by his friends.
Though the story isn’t ending,i believe whether Will is a tiger or a rose,he deserves loving,so does everyone.
