A Thank-you Letter to My Father

Dear dad,
The other day, I read an essay named Writing Three Thank-you Letters by Alex Haley. I know most people deserve our gratitude in the world. Of course, the first person I want to write a so-called thank- you letter to is you, my dear father.
Thank you for giving me so much love, tolerance and guidance all the time. Thank you for leading me to a good, happy world with positive energy. Thank you for forgiving my countless mistakes from the past to the
present…Particularly I want to thank you for your drawing me on with your kindness in word with examples on phone every day.
In my memory, you do countless things with no regrets for me: send me home in spite of the rain, come to see me when I am ill; silently accompany, encourage me in my failure time. Do you remember that day I suffered from gastroenteritis in my eight? Though I feel especially uncomfortable, I never forgot your look, which is paler than me for worrying me. After I took the medicine, you carried me… When I miss you, I always pictured it.
I want to be clear about the importance of you in my life, my father, a diligent, considerate, frugal and brave man.
I never say gratitude to you in front of you. Today, what I want to express is not the word "thanks" but the word "love". I want to tell you that your daughter has been mature enough to feel love from others and to give love to others. And among the "others", you are the most important one. I love you, my dad!
Yours sincerely,
Milly
